Pick A Task
Register as a “Student” to create your free Student Works account.
Select the tasks you want to be considered for along with your desired hourly wage and availability. You will be required to write a short personal statement highlighting your previous experience and credentials.
You can also upload any photographs showcasing your work or certificates/qualifications that you deem necessary.
Upon successful completion of an orientation session, your profile becomes visible. You can now start to apply and be contacted for tasks in your area.
You will directly engage with Employers before every task so you can understand exactly what is required of you. You can determine exact locations, tools needed (if any) and any other information required to enable you to perform your best on every occasion.
At this stage if you do not feel that the work is right for you, you are under no obligation to accept and are free to decline any work.
Once your registration is successfully confirmed via email, to proceed as a Student Works worker, you are required to attend a mandatory orientation session that lasts about two hours. There are no exceptions to this - all workers must attend.
You will receive an email inviting you to select an orientation session at a time and location at your convenience.
The orientation session is crucial in helping you to be successful on the platform. During this free orientation we give you a brief history of Student Works, an introduction to the Client experience, and most importantly we show you how to use the Worker app. During this session, we'll show you from start to finish what it's like to be hired for work, accepting work, chatting with your employers and confirming and submitting for extra work.
Once you complete this orientation session, you can start working!
Once you have been chosen and the conditions of the work have been agreed with the employer, you will be expected to commence work at the set time and date.
When work has been successfully completed it will need to be confirmed by your employer. Once confirmed payment will be made directly into your bank account or via PayPal.
